Outdoors: David Crockett State Park, Lawrenceburg

Happy Saturday Y’all!

This weekend we took a trip back to West Tennessee to wrap up all the counties in the Western Grand Division. Our first stop along the way was Lawrence County’s David Crockett State Park.

Legend has it that Crockett became the leader he is remembered as on this piece of property where he had a grist mill, powder mill and was elected as a judge and State Representative. This Tennessee State Parks site has the beautiful Shoal Creek running through it with the small but famous Crockett Falls as well as a birds of prey aviary and super cool museum that tells of Crockett’s famous exploits.

We toured the covered bridge, played at the lake and had an excellent family adventure.

Y’all go be Tennesseans this weekend and see what your great state has to offer!
