Attraction: Medal of Honor Heritage Center
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
We took the boys to the incredible Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center by the Tennessee Aquarium to see American selfless patriotism told by some of the greatest stories of heroism in our history.
When this museum was conceived, it was more than an initiative to fill the former Chattanooga History Museum site, it was a passionate groundswell of support for the town that made the Medal of Honor famous as its first recipients came from our area during the Civil War.
From Andrew’s Raiders to Charles Coolidge and to our most recent recipient Capt Larry Taylor, the Chattanooga has always exhibited Tennessee’s status as the Volunteer state. Thank a first responder for their service keeping our nation safe. If you haven’t heard their stories of bravery, you are missing out.
The Coolidge Medal of Honor Heritage Center is an excellent spot with knowledgeable staff that are happy to tell some of the incredible stories presented.
Y’all go be Tennesseans this week and see what your great state has to offer!
