Community: 17th Annual Stewardship Partners
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Big thanks to my friend Jason Willard of @chattanoogagas1 for inviting me to the 17th Stewardship Partners event hosted by Souther Company and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation at the Chattanoogan.
Today’s keynote speaker was none other than Chattanooga Parks Department Administrator Scott Martin who gave a rousing speech about how Chattanooga became the first National Park City in America. For someone who loves the outdoors as much as me, I am incredibly intrigued about the concept he discussed that asked 2 questions:
What if our cities don’t have parks?
What if our cities become parks?
Reimagining the traditional idea of our parks is paramount for our quality of life and Chattanooga is an outdoor recreation city. How could we not be? So why not think about how we can best imagine what that will look like?
Nowadays, when companies relocate or look to grow, they prioritize quality of life measures and Chattanooga does and needs to continue to rank at the top of that list.
