Eats: Ooltewah Whistle Stop, Ooltewah
Happy Monday!
Y’all eating our way across Tennessee is causing me to start wearing more sweat pants than usual but my dedication to the cause is unwavering.
Check out our recent stop at the Ooltewah Whistle Stop up the road from the Chattanooga in downtown Ooltewah. This is an awesome addition to the northern end of the county that uses its history next to the train tracks (that literally run behind the building) as a motif for a retro sandwich and ice cream spot that made me popular as a Dad! While my wife and I were more concerned with the healthier options, the boys only had one concern; milkshakes. And the Ooltewah Whistle Stop didn’t disappoint.
I’d suggest to make a reservation as it gets crowded but I would also recommend the incredible Reuben sammich as well! Located in the heart of the former James County of Greg Vital fame, Ooltewah Whistle Stop is worth the short drive for an excellent family experience!
Y’all go be Tennesseans this week and see what your great state has to offer!
