Outdoors: Prentice Cooper State Forest, Jasper
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I post a lot from around the greatest state in America but I generally keep my local outdoor haunts to myself. Changing that tactic, I figured I would remind Chattanoogans of the incredible outdoor paradise 15 mins from the Chattanooga limits that is managed by Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency.
Prentice Cooper State Forest and Wildlife Management Area has been a place that I have spent countless days in my life hiking, hunting and just sitting on top of a rock looking at the magnificent Tennessee River Gorge.
I even proposed to my wife at Snooper’s Rock in addition to sinking multiple 4x4 vehicles in the last 30 years. Last week, we took a family nostalgic drive and went to Blowing Wind Falls and the aforementioned Snooper’s Rock.
Y’all go be Tennesseans this week and see what your great state has to offer! If its too rainy to see the wildlife in the gorge, the Tennessee Aquarium has an incredible selection of native wildlife indoors!
