Event: Tennessee Strawberry Festival
Happy Monday Y’all!
The Trimble Family Circus continued this weekend with the short drive up Hwy 27 to Dayton for the 77th Annual Tennessee Strawberry Festival in Rhea County. This week long festival showcases some of the finest local vendors from the surrounding areas and tells the story of Rhea County and its storied history with strawberries.
There is an annual Cruise-In, Parade, Race and carnival rides that are fun for all ages and backgrounds. It was awesome to see one of our favorites Federal Bake Shop in the square supporting the Festival as well as Smith Perry Berries and Mayfield Dairy.
I need to hike some extra miles this week after eating my way around the courthouse of Scopes-Monkey Trial Fame. I wonder what William Jennings Bryan and Clarence Darrow would think of Main Street Dayton in 2024? It is booming with small business development and young families. We had an excellent time. Dayton is only 40 minutes from the Chattanooga so go check it out!
Y’all go be Tennesseans this week and see what your great state has to offer!
