Attraction: The Ryman, Nashville

I am a bit of an odd bird. It takes a lot to get me excited and it most likely revolves around something in our great state. Over the last 20 or so years, I have caught over that amount of concerts in the fabled Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville but had never taken the tour.

I had stood in line in virtually every hallway, nook and cranny waiting to buy Hatch Show Prints of whatever band was on stage that night and I had heard the story of the building’s salvation to restore it to its former wonder but had never heard it so fervently .

It is our home, it is our Mother Church and it was saved by the Music City philanthropic community and incredible ladies like Emmylou Harris and our Queen, Dolly.

If you haven’t been, I urge you to go and take the tour. It won’t take long and you will be inspired.
