Attraction: Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Gatlinburg

Taking advantage of 60 degree weather in February is a must for Tennesseans after two week freeze.  Last week we took the family to Sevier County to my favorite East Tennessee town of Gatlinburg to see the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.

My wife accuses me of making the absolute most of our family experiences and this was no exception.  This aquarium hosts more fish than residents of Gatlinburg and offers a really neat change of pace with its walkway beneath the Sea.

The boys got to touch jelly fish, play in a jungle gym and crawl around close to the African penguins.

Pro tip: if you plan on attending another one of the Ripley’s Believe It or Not attractions while in town, buy it when you buy aquarium tickets and you can save a pretty penny.  Traveling Tennessee with these 2 boys is  a costly experience sometimes and the discount was a nice reward.

Y’all go be Tennesseans this weekend and see what your great state had to offer!
