Community: Wally’s Breakfast Club, Chattanooga

Happy Friday Y’all!

The Wally's Breakfast Club has long been a day that I look forward to every month and today was no different. This month our guest was Tennessee Department of Safety Deputy Commissioner and Chief of Staff Les Dolente who came to give us a report on his department’s mission, purpose and their efforts to help restore East Tennessee after Helene. Without their department helping direct law enforcement and emergency personnel, the road to recovery would take much longer than it will.

As a former Deputy in the White County Sheriff’s Office and Former Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper who was also on the Executive Protection Unit for the Governor, First Lady and Speaker of the House, Les has more experience in law enforcement than almost anyone in the state and has a true passion for service. Community leaders like Les Dolente are what the state of Tennessee so great.

In his time at the Department, Les has streamlined operations and made very efficient use of our tax dollars by fostering needed change to antiquated procedures saving millions for Tennesseans under the excellent leadership of Commissioner Jeff Long.
