Outdoors: Reelfoot Lake State Park, Tiptonville
Happy Thursday Y’all!
We loaded up the family and headed to Reelfoot Lake State Park to show the boys where three generations of Trimble’s have hunted ducks for decades. Things have slowly begun to change in this quiet little area of Tiptonville as recreation tourism booms in our great state.
I used to think it was so cool riding in a fast john boat in the dark as a kid to one of these blinds that exist out on the beautiful lake. In addition to waterfowling, Reelfoot Lake is home to some of the finest crappie fishing in America that is sure to thrill outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.
As I said, the community is beginning to change and there are still old staples like Boyette’s Dining Room but Blue Bank Resort has really grown and the old Bunch’s grocery is gone now. We had such a great visit!
Y’all go be Tennesseans this week and see what your great state has to offer!
