Outdoors: North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Park
Happy Sunday Y’all!
The coolest thing that happened in Hamilton County this year had to be for outdoor enthusiasts like us with the opening of North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Park in Soddy Daisy by the fine folks at Tennessee State Parks.
Long known as one of the most gorgeous spots in all of Tennessee , the spot needed some structure and rules to keep it safe and maintained and that is exactly what we got. There used to be broken bottled and trash everywhere but no more. Now it is pristine and Strip Mine Falls is flowing as you can see.
Just hook a left before you go up Mowbray Mountain at the old pull in and you will see the new sign. If you run into a Ranger or someone from North Chickamauga Conservancy, tell them how grateful you are for all their hard work!
Y’all go be Tennesseans today and see something new in your great state!
