Outdoors: Frozen Head State Park

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Check out our second trip to the fantastic Frozen Head State Park in Wartburg to see wildflowers and waterfalls.  On our last visit, we came to see the Twin Arches but it was before the flowers started to bloom.  Tennessee State Parks has done an incredible job working with partners like the Audubon Society to cultivate native plants in one of our absolute favorite spots.

The family had an incredible day checking out DeBord Falls and Emory Gap Falls that are easy to walk to and smaller but very pretty. At this point, I seem to use my AllTrails app more than anything else as we have crossed over 40 Tennessee counties and lots of state parks and natural areas.

Frozen Head State Park is a bit of a longer drive from the Chattanooga but it is still only 2 hours and well worth the drive.

PSA to my wife, remember not to watch this reel. One of your friends makes an appearance.

Y’all go be Tennesseans this weekend and see what your great state has to offer! Be careful and have fun!
