Outdoors: Cheekwood in Bloom, Nashville

Cheekwood in Bloom is one of the most Tennessee spots we have in spring time and was a perfect stop for us headed back across the Cumberland Plateau.

Located just a bit south and west of Nashville, Cheekwood has been offering an amazing outdoor respite filled with gorgeous gardens, sculptures and trails since 1960 after the private estate of Leslie and Mabel Cheek was turned into a living museum.

This 55 acre tract is an absolutely stunning example of the 1920’s American excess and its mansion high atop the hill has been a favorite photo op for visitors since then.
