95 Counties Complete!

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Finished. Sine Die. Whatever you want to call fait accompli. 95 Counties, over 40 Tennessee State Parks and Natural Areas, 30+ museums and another 30+ municipal parks and outdoor rec areas. In addition to that, the Trimble family hit every single National Park site in Tennessee from Fort Donelson National Battlefield to Andrew Johnson National Historic Site.

In this year, we traveled about 20,000 miles in our great state and did our best to only support local Tennessee businesses. We saw why our state’s crest has “Agriculture and Commerce” in that order as Farmers still outproduce any industry. We toured incredible small towns doing their best to reinvent their communities to try and keep their younger folks where they grew up. That only happens through Workforce Development and Education which Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development and TCAT do so well.

Economic Development starts locally and how we support these communities so they can have the same advantages as the more urban areas will determine our future. Our state is built on towns like Fayetteville and Brownsville.

Finally, what we learned most in our over 180 family events this year is that yes, Tennessee is the greatest but that we have so much more to learn about its people and their success and needs for the future.

This journey started out to show my boys where they came from and to send my Grandfather pics of them at the places he couldn’t get to at 96 anymore. It turned out to be so much more.

Can’t wait to see where 2025 takes us.

Y’all go be Tennesseans this holiday season and remind yourselves why our state is so great!
