Attraction: National Bird Dog Museum, Grand Junction

Happy Wednesday Y’all!

We have stopped at a LOT of places so far this year and rarely do we get surprised anymore but the National Bird Dog Foundation Museum in Grand Junction was pretty awesome.

This museum is sprawling. It really takes up a lot of space and is filled with the history of the finest bird dogs in America as well as their handlers and a Hall of Fame.

There are records and logbooks dating back over 100 years and for a former avid bird hunter myself. It was well worth the trip. 

If you are ever in the area, check it out. These smaller museums operate on grants, donations and foot traffic and supporting them supports not only their initiative but also jobs and education in the community.
